The mold gets thicker slowly the walls and ceiling are covered in a slight layer of sickly black and green, and the air starts to feel heavier. It's getting harder to walk without touching the stuff. The floor creaks underfoot, as if weakened.

Jackson looks around. If nobody is nearby, he decides to wait, not wanting to cause a problem.

Jones turns and goes away from the increasing growth. A creaking sounds from the walls up ahead, accompanied by a loud and rasping groan. A thing full of fluid and phlegm and disease. A crack! As a split appears in a section of plaster. Is something coming out of the wall?

A panel in a piece of the door flips over, revealing a somewhat steampunky speaker. A voice distorted with brass and echo says, "You can let yourself in. The door's unlocked. Unfortunately not many people accepted my invitation, but not to worry. The food will still be here."

A thing that is no longer a man crashes out of the wall before Jones. Its flesh is covered in moss and patched in black spots, and parts of its leg and arm are replace by wood. With a hacking cough it makes its presence known and advances upon you.

Jones sprays the beast with his AR and uses Sweet Tactical Moves ™ from his training to evade the creature and get away

Jones gets two advantage dice from suppressive fire and the aforementioned moves both sweet and tactical.
Evasion: 1, 6, 1

Jones successfully gets on the other side of the creature unharmed.
Using the closer distance, the creature swings a wooden limb at him, but it'd be easy to just back out of range.

Jackson enters and looks around.

A large foyer opens up with a staircase leading to the second floor. There are also passageways left and right. A set of bookcases can be seen through the left passage. It looks like a library. The right passage would reveal be a dining hall if Jackson would walk forward a bit.

Um... I guess he does like... A backwards action dive while shooting the creature? He has a disadvantage on accuracy due to pulling such a stunt though.

Jones is surprisingly accurate, but the creature manages to block with it's wooden limb. After the volley, It begins to slam it's arms into the floor, tearing away at the surface and attempt to burrow away.

The creature gets about halfway into the ground before Jones fires enough bullets into it that it can't move its arms properly to dig and then expires.

The corridor is silent again... almost.

Jones continues back down the hallway away from the mould and towards where the tear gas was.

Jones reaches the destination without incident. The powder of the tear gas is everywhere, waiting to be kicked up again.

Been a while

Jones carefully steps over it if possible, or jumps over it with Sweet Looking Ninja Skills™, idk.

This time, he goes the opposite direction to the door.
