Luke waits for a few seconds to see if the girl will respond. Suddenly, he starts feeling very tired. Luke stumbles backwards to another tree nearby and stumbles to the ground, leaning against the tree.

"Oh shoot Luke!" Seram runs up to Luke to see if he'll be ok.

Patty looks over towards Luke, then looks back at the ground.

Seram looked at Patty, "Hey! Ca-.. woah..." he was caught off guard by the claws, but there were more important things.
"Call 911!"

Seram tried to see what happened to Luke.

Luke responds "Uh.. I think I'll be fine. I just got tired. Maybe our niches make us tired if we use them too much? I did have my glowing eye thing happening I think." Luke's eye has stopped glowing.

Patty grabs her cell phone, still crying, but soon gives up on calling 911 since she's too much of a freak to operate the cell phone well and "Luke" is fine anyways.

"Oh... ok. That's a relief. I thought you were having heart attack or something."

Seram turned to Patty, "So did you uh... get those claws today?"

Patty slowly nods.

"Cool. We've been getting weird stuff too. I guess it's less noticeable than your claws but I can uh... make a part of you numb."

Seram activated his niche, "Boop. Now you can't feel your arm."

"Oh great, more freaks like me..." Patty thinks to herself, not really feeling her arm at this point. It did make her feel a little better though, maybe.

Seram deactivated his niche.

"Wait, you were the girl who had the claws I saw earlier? Calm down, your hands will make great weapons."

((Did Brad leave the library because I haven't seen him do that?))

((I'm gonna assume he hasn't left the library yet.))
"Hey uh... why're you out here anyway?"

(Brad never went to the library. He was just outside of it.)

Luke chips in, "Well, my ability freaked me out when it happened to me too. And mine was just color vision loss. I imagine claws would be much more startling to find out about."

(But Brad was talking with someone who was in the library earlier.)

(Just outside of it, where they were located, I'm assuming)

((The group had already gone inside, to search for info about their situation though. Did Brad yell into the library from outside about the April Fool's article.))

(Yeah, he did, not loudly though, they were within hearing range) Brad walks inside and lots onto a computer. After a few minutes of searching he says "Hey guys I found something"

"It's fine..." Patty says in response to Luke, "...I guess I'm the only freak here after all..." Those two would probably be able to go back to their normal life just fine, but not her. How could she?

Maybe though... maybe this whole thing was just temporary...

"Is there anything else new for you?"

"Freak? Surely that's not true..."

"...It is..." Patty says, "...Who designs things for freak claws?"

"The same people who care about handicapped people... not that you're handicapped or anything."

Arthur pauses for a second. ...I mean, she's not wrong...
"Listen, there have been crazy things happening to everybody today. You can't be the only one who's gotten something so drastic."
