These might be worse than the ones that encrypt your files and lock them behind a bitcoin paywall or record your keystrokes to extract login information and personal details.

Okay, that's a lie. But they're still pretty bad, right?

Post the function (and maybe name) of a virus that only mildly annoys the user. It can't compromise the functionality of the system, but can make those things significantly harder to do. The next user reacts to how the virus affects their computer use, and then comes up with their own Mildly Inconvenient Computer Virus™

Some rules to go over (this is updated as needed):
- Please don't just say how you'd work around the virus, that's boring. If it genuinely doesn't affect your day-to-day computer use, explain why.
- The virus cannot affect hardware. No underclocks, excessive power consumption, disabling ports, locking RAM or drive space, etc.
- Please divide your response and virus description with at least 5 hyphens, underscores or other non-alphanumerical symbols.
- No, you cannot get rid of the virus
- You also cannot circumvent the virus

every 30 minutes, a random folder on the computer gets added to the taskbar as a toolbar, notepad saves and closes and then the dvd drive gets ejected

Each time the cursor crosses between one of the 4 quadrants of the monitor, a random image is pulled from the internet, heavily deep fried and downloaded to a new folder in an available drive.
(If the mouse cursor is hidden, it's still being tracked, and will still activate the virus)
