Do I need to log out first before the username change can happen?

I would like to rename the username to Red Bloon.

i'd rename myself to "NotAJumbleOfNumbers" but alas, my name has been used in various places and things enough to warrant not having a change.

I guess since it's been changed on Discord for a tad now I'd like my username changed to Fishmael for aesthetic reasons.
