You buy the upgrade for the pickaxe which allows them to mine more stuff while they are able to mine steel before you send Thartler into the volcano.

Village Events: The farm generates 21 wheat with 12 eggs while the mines generates 18 stone with 19 coal, 10 iron and 11 steel and the set of trees harvested 18 wood.

Thartler attacks the shadow dragon for 16 damage while 10 combat novices punched it for a total of 40 damage as 13 trainee swordsmen hits it for a total of 65 damage then 10 beginner bowmen fired 14 arrows at it for a total of 70 damage as 10 knife weilders pokes the scales for a total of 50 damage then 4 swordsmen stabs it for a total of 28 damage as 5 bowmen fires 6 arrows for a total of 48 damage and a protesting berserker strikes it for 12 damage.

The rally team's army goes out for the dragon.
The lightly armoured swordsman slashes it for 7 damage while an knife-wielder and an trainee swordsman stabs it for 10 damage then 2 beginner bowmen shot 3 arrows at it for 15 damage and 2 protesting berserkers stabs the dragon for a total of 24 damage gaining 38 gold.

You use up 2 steel to create the steel quiver and you send a steel bow to Steve.

You thinking about training yourself some damage before you sell your iron bow for the full refund (Gaining 18 gold for that). The Blacksmith will give the sold bow to a novice as well.

That is one of the things why I always try to make it fair for novices.

Village Events: The farm generates 20 wheat with 12 eggs while the mines generates 20 stone with 21 coal, 11 iron and 12 steel and the set of trees harvested 16 wood.

The stables gets 2 horses

There are 5 more novices while 5 novices buys a medicinal herb each while one of them gets a iron bow for free and 4 more of them brought an wooden sword.

The advanced novice is waiting patiently for a dagger to be made.

The general is reading a book of tactics.
