Honestly, we could just turn the whole thing into "personal text" or "flair" or something and remove from. People who want locations could still put it in, but it'd be less likely to confuse little kids and more flexible for everyone involved.

We should add a "Close Topic" for topics that we make. That way, we can close our own topics if they turn out to be a duplicate or something. This has already been incorporated into Scratch.

They say games are a product, rather than a service. Certainly a nice thought, however this is more fiction than truth.
Each and every day, new games are created, with most being infested with microtransactions, paid expansions, and subscription services, bogging down (or blocking off entirely) the user experience until they cough up their life savings, even after having already purchased the game. However, we as fans have remedied the problems that plague modern games through modifications and fan servers. There is, however, one last game to fix.

Superdoom, I see your new sig. As we explained before, godmodding ruins some RPGs and plus it makes the game boring. Some RPGs allow it, like Reverse Roleplay, but most don't.
I don't use this website anymore (although I may check in or post occasionally), and have not for a while now. Sincerest apologies if you were wishing to communicate with me.
The vast majority of the things I have posted on here are old, and I regret them extremely. My attitude (i.e. annoyingness level (i.e. very high)) in such posts are (hopefully) not indicative of my current attitude (i.e. probably considerably less annoying). I thank all of my friends from earlier times here for tolerating my ignorance and idiocy.

This basically means you could run any script you wanted. Meaning you could cause anyone viewing your sig to be redirected to your virus-filled site.

If someone's sig was <script>alert("Hacked!")</script> then the code would run when someone loaded the page. Replace the code with one that crashes the browser, or redirects to a virus website, and that's bad. Even if you don't allow script tags, there are lots of ways to run arbitrary JS using HTML tags, for example with onclick or onload events. And even if theoretically all JS was blocked, you could still mess up the page layout by putting an unmatched </div> in the page.

Essentially the only safe way to handle it is to parse only a few tags, like <b> and <i> and <img>, with only safe attributes... but that's basically what BBCode is.

Look, the past few months have been absolute c r a p to me and I don't have a life.  My two fiends over here have been getting on less and less, and I've gotten less opportunities to get my own life.  As a result, I will be taking a break here effective April 10th to 14th as I pursue opportunities to do stuff besides here. I'll still check from time to time, so you won't need to worry.  Mostly from 5 to 6.  I hope you'll understand, and have a nice day.
