Whoo! I'm back, baby.

Muses roam the Earth freely. They have existed since time immemorial, granted with the powers to influence human culture and art. A muse is born with the first performance of their art, and dies with their last. Muses are indistinguishable from humans, other than a unique birthmark on the back of their neck.

In Ancient Greece there were 6 Great Muses to represent each discipline of art: song, poetry, painting, sculpture, theatre, dance. Today, however, as humans grow more and more distinctive about proper classification, muses find themselves in control of small subsets of art. There is no more Muse of Painting, but there is an impressionist muse, a cubist muse, an abstract muse. No Muse of Song, but there is a folk muse, a punk muse, a jazz muse. As is the nature of art, muses can and often do influence each other.

It is the year 2020. Art thrives through the relatively recent human creation of the Internet. It's a good time to be a muse, young or old. (Your muse must represent some kind of contemporary art form, by which I mean one which people still regularly consume.)
