Sooshes, AKA Sushi Dogs, are adorable little dog-like creatures based on a variety of foods and drinks.

Average Soosh
This is the most common type of Soosh.
Triptych Soosh
Started out as an average, but, due to a rare mutation, split into three, smaller forms. They all have the same personality, and count as one soosh when you sign up. They are the smallest Sooshes.
Biheaded Soosh
A two-headed Soosh with distinct personalities. Biheaded Sooshes are slightly larger than normal sooshes.
Cerberal Soosh
A three-headed Soosh with distinct personalities. These are the largest Sooshes.

Mythical Sooshes
These Sooshes can either be Unisooshes, Dragonsooshes, or Pegasooshes. They take on 'iconic traits from human folklore'. They are often shunned by normal sooshes and are pretty solitary. They are not any more powerful than a normal Soosh.

Celestial Sooshes
These are carefully crafted Sooshes that are not based on food/drinks. Their purpose is to balance the universe. They are solitary, avoid all human contact, and are powerful Sooshes. They also have a more bold appearance than most Sooshes. Some are easily aggravated, and others are peaceful.

Sanctuary

Once home to a small group of human beings, Sanctuary is the origin place of Sushi Dogs and their creator, The Great Soosh.

Sanctuary is a secluded grassy isle, surrounded by a flowing river and beautiful mountainscapes.. The weather is warm year-round, with a few exceptions near certain holidays, and is also free from natural disasters. Various types of flowers bloom on the isle, giving off a calming and joyful aroma. Thanks to The Great Soosh's blessing, Sanctuary is also guarded by a powerful magic that wards off evil. The magic also reflects any information transmissions from humans -- meaning it can't be traced by any technological means, such as a GPS.

Although Sushi Dogs can roam the world as they see fit, Sanctuary is their true home, and they may return to it whenever they like. Here, they may run, play, socialize, and be free from worry.

The Great Soosh's Shrine

Located in the center of Sanctuary is a shrine with a large bell. It was built by the original human villagers of Sanctuary as a means of showing thanks to The Great Soosh, their helper and friend. Now, The Great Soosh uses it to communicate with all of his Sushi Dog children throughout the world.
The bell is imbued with an incredible magic, and if rung by The Great Soosh, can be heard by any Sushi Dog no matter where they are in the world. When rung by normal Sushi Dogs, it can be used as a means to contact The Great Soosh for help. It can also be rung during special ceremonies, as a sign of respect while asking for blessings. Should The Great Soosh make an appearance in Sanctuary, he will manifest directly at his shrine.

The Four Villages

On the outskirts of Sanctuary are four Soosh villages -- named after flavors, they are the Spicy Village, Sweet Village, Savory Village, and Bitter Village. These villages are not named after tastes, but rather reflect certain values and lifestyles. Each village is home to many Sooshes, and has its own ideals and culture. Each village also has its own leader -- a Supreme Soosh who is in charge of watching over the village and its residents, as well as reporting back to The Great Soosh.

Misty Grove

Bordering Sanctuary is a lush forest known as the Misty Grove (or simply "The Grove"). Colorful mist envelops the treetops, enchanting magic into any living thing that wanders in. Here, Sooshes team up or brave alone to explore and train their magic abilities. All of the creatures and plants in the Grove have mystical properties, and may be either friendly, or a foe!
There are three layers to Mystic Grove:

The Thickets

The Thickets are the foremost levels of the Grove. Here, all animals and plants are friendly, and will gladly help Sooshes out if they happen to get lost. Warm beams of sunlight sift through the treetops. Delicious berries and medicinal herbs grow here, as well. Therefore, many domestic Soosh will come to the Thickets to gather ingredients without worry. It is a great place for young Sooshes to train their magic abilities!

The Midwoods

Past the Thickets lay the Midwoods. Here, the forest begins to become more dense, and less sunlight comes through. The atmosphere is slightly dark, yet there isn't a sense of true danger. However, not everything in the Backwoods is friendly. The creatures here are more powerful than those in Thickets -- and they aren't all afraid to fight a Soosh over territory or food. Sooshes who visit here must take extra caution. Many Sooshes create teams to harvest Midwood materials such as ores, healing and magic herbs, and animal hides.

The Thorns

In the deepest corners of Misty Grove are the Thorns. Almost no light shines through here, so only the toughest and cunning of beasts can thrive. Plants here are gnarled and thorny, and almost any fruit grown here is toxic or lethal. A heavy purple smog covers the forest floor of the Thorns, making it difficult to navigate. No normal Soosh would dare come to the Thorns, unless they were in dire search of something. Only Sooshes with potent Combat Magic have been known to make it home alive. These Sooshes will team up and brave the Thorns together in search of extremely rare items, such as crystals, elixirs, dropped weapons and items, and enchanted elder logs to build with.

Mount Solitude

To the west of Sanctuary rests Mount Solitude, a tall peak with mysterious opening on its side. Rare gemstones and flowers grow inside and around the opening of Mount Solitude, making it alluringly beautiful. Although breathtaking, Mount Solitude is not necessarily safe. Normal Sooshes would have an incredibly hard time scaling its crags. Only Mythical Sooshes and select few Supremes have either the magic power or strength to make their way to the top. Therefore, the mountain is only inhabited by Mythicals.
Unlike Sanctuary or the Four Villages, Mount Solitude is not blessed by Inekami's magic. Anyone living there is susceptible to the same dangers that all beasts and humans might face.

Lake of Reflections

The opening in the side of the mountain is home to the Lake of Reflections -- the place where Sooshes who defy Inekami's will go to take on their Mythical form.

Legend speaks that if a Soosh who wishes to become Mythical looks into the crystal clear waters of the Lake, they will see their reflection in the form of the Mythical they wish to be. When they look back up, a powerful force will overtake their body and permanently transform them.

Sushi Dogs derive from a powerful ancestor known as The Great Soosh, who is said to have long ago guarded over crops and helped feed villagers living in a secluded place on earth called Sanctuary.

The Beginning
Sanctuary was originally a humble village, home to only humans. Surrounded by dense forest and mountainous scapes, living there was fairly safe, provided one didn't wander off too far into the woods. Yet, despite having no outside threats, the villagers lived in what would be considered poverty. Rainfall was scarce and growing anything edible was difficult. No outside help was available since Sanctuary was geographically untraceable.

Sanctuarians respected all forms of life, and avoided killing at all costs. However, the dire starvation drove them to begin hunting the beasts that roamed the surrounding land. These beasts were magnificent and beautiful, big and small. To take their lives caused the villagers a tremendous amount of pain. Humans and beasts had always respected each other.

After many desperate seasons of hunting, many of the species that lived near Sanctuary were completely wiped out. One of these being a mystical canid species with an appearance similar to a fox or small spitz dog. These canids were said to be able to live for an extraordinarily long time due to their magical tendencies, provided they were not killed by a predator or natural disaster.

All of these canids were believed to have been hunted...however, a single one remained. He had managed to evade being hunted by remaining hidden. Unfortunately, the rest of his kind had not been so lucky, as the amount of human hunters greatly outnumbered the canids.

This canid in particular, now known as The Great Soosh, was able to feel a vast range of emotions, and bore a profound sense of human understanding that is not typical of beasts. He observed the humans' struggle to feed themselves and their children. Despite having his kin wiped out by these folk, The Great Soosh could not help but empathize with the villagers' loss. He knew that their actions against his species was not done out of sport, but rather, out of desperation.

The Great Soosh felt as though his life had been spared for a reason. Knowing that he was the last there would ever be of his kind, he put to heart the desire to bring life to those still on this Earth. What better way to do this, he thought to himself, than to help out the humans who were forced to wipe out his kind?

During the night, when the villagers of Sanctuary were fast asleep, The Great Soosh sneaked out into the fields. He used his magic to bless the seeds in the ground, as well as the livestock in the barns. His magic sped up cell reproduction, causing plants to sprout quickly and hasten milk production in mammals. Before the sun rose, The Great Soosh would run back into the neighboring forest and observe. The villagers were shocked to find that their crops were growing, and sobbed with joy knowing that their children wouldn't go hungry. And even greater, they would no longer have to kill for food.

The Great Soosh continued this for many seasons. Every time, the villagers were left confused yet grateful. They suspected that they were being blessed by a greater power, and were determined to figure out who was responsible for blessing their crops. However, not wanting any special attention, The Great Soosh never showed his face to the villagers. One young child claimed to have seen a "ghost dog" standing out in the field one night -- but no one ever truly figured out that their savior was one of the last remaining beasts of the land.


The Creation of Sushi Dogs

A long time later, the villagers of Sanctuary decided that it would ultimately be better for them to migrate to a more fertile area. They would never forget their savior's help, however, and constructed a small bell shrine in his honor. The Great Soosh was happy to see the humans seek out a better life.

However, The Great Soosh ultimately knew that the world was filled with sadness and hardships that extended far beyond Sanctuary. Being one creature, there was no way that The Great Soosh could possibly help everyone...yet, he was determined to anyways. Using a tremendous amount of magic, The Great Soosh divided pieces of his spirit to create smaller, less-powerful canid spirits to help him out. These tiny canids spread all over the world, taking on the appearances of specific food and drink that The Great Soosh had designated to them. Each small canid donned a white-swirled bandana, reminiscent of the one wrapped around The Great Soosh's neck.

The Great Soosh watched as his children spread out into the world, seeking ways to help other living beings in any way they could. For some, this meant using their magic powers to spawn small amounts of food. Others were granted powers such as igniting fires, which could be used to help keep humans and animals warm or to cook food.

The Great Soosh's tiny offspring are called Sooshes, in honor of their creator! Once Sooshes began integrating into the human world, people began to lovingly call them Sushi Dogs out of familiarity, due to their very tiny size (similar to that of a sushi roll!).

Today, Sushi Dogs act as the traditional helpful spirits that they have always been. They each have small amounts of magic power that they can use to bring small joys to humans and creatures alike! They can choose to live among humans and help them out, or roam the wild and explore.

The Great Soosh still lives, and watches over his children. He continuously creates new Sushi Dogs to bring as much happiness into the world as possible.

All Sooshes have magical powers!
Their magical energy is stored in their cheeks, and there's a lot of it!
-If your character has two different colored cheeks, then congrats, your character has multiple powers.
THEIR POWER MUST BE RELATED TO THEIR FOOD IN SOME WAY. For example, if your character is a spicy food, then fire breathing is ok.
If your character is a sweet food, then healing is acceptable.
There are two sub-types of magic in the Soosh world: Domestic and Combat.
Domestic Magic
Domestic Magic is the most natural form of magic for Sooshes. It involves using skills that can benefit others, or can be used to create ease and assist in tasks. It can be fun, it can be silly, it can be serious. As long as the ability is harmless (meaning, it can't be used to purposely inflict damage), it is classified as Domestic.
Examples (but not limited to):
-Crafting (carpentry, tailoring, mining)
-Alchemy
-Food preparation
-Social-oriented magic
-Healing/hospitality
-Frivolous/miscellaneous skills

Combat Magic
Combat Magic is magic that can be use during fights to attack or defend oneself. Sooshes with Combat Magic are often able to travel further in the world, since their abilities can be helpful for self defense and escaping dangerous situations.
Examples (but not limited to):
-Casting small spells, curses, or hexes
-Igniting/breathing/blowing/etc elemental substances (water, bubbles, fire, ice, etc)
-Summoning items such as smoke bombs, traps, etc
Keep in mind tho:
-Sooshes are small dogs. They cannot cast a huge tornado to destroy cities.
ALSO: A Soosh is given powers for the greater good. They can't have dark magic or something.
...If it causes serious damage/injury or death, it's a no go!


This is their currency. They're called Swirlseeds, and they're roughly the size of an apple seed.

Sweet Village
Everyone here is friendly and willing to help you out. The streets smell of flowers and other pleasant scents. This is the most heavily populated village. The streets are mighty clean and you'll find just about anyone outside.

Spicy Village
Some sooshes here just don't wanna help you find that lost box of berries. Others will actually help, and some will just be sarcastic with you. Often times the buildings are lined with graffiti. Younger sooshes some times don't even go outside in fear of the older ones. They're only being cautious, but sometimes, especially at night, the streets aren't safe. The supreme oughta do something about this...

Savory Village
Home to both salty and rich foods. You've got the sassy sooshes and the really bubbly ones. There are lots of older sooshes here, so the younger ones tend to wander off. The only problem is the two neighboring villages aren't ideal to go to, so they usually don't leave their village unless going to the sanctuary.

Bitter Village
The least populated village, and the farthest from the Mystic Grove. Sooshes here usually 'don't have time to help you'. They always come up with an excuse to get out of doing something that they weren't involved in in the first place. Older folks will shoo you away. Butimean, the streets are nice......?

RULES
1. All site rules apply
2. No godmodding/mary sues/overpoweredness
3. You may have as many characters as you can handle, but there's a few exceptions:
 3a. Sushi Dogs and Cats are unlimited, so long as you can find PICTURE REFERENCES for all of them.
  3aa. Triptych, biheaded, and cerberal sooshes are uncommon/rare. You may only have a few of these.
   3aaa. Have as many standard Sushi Dogs and Cats as you please. There is no limit to these ones.
 3b. There are only FOUR slots open for Supreme Sooshes. Supreme Sooshes are more highly regarded by The Great Soosh and he expects more from them. You must be serious with these guys.
  3bb. There is one Supreme Soosh for every Village: Spicy Village, Sweet Village, Savory Village, and Bitter Village. These reflect personalities rather than tastes, and if you're the Supreme Soosh in the Sweet Village, you shouldn't be a sassy snob.
 3c. Mythicals are rare, and therefore i will only allow you to have ONE Mythical Soosh.
  3cc. If you have just one role, it may not be a Mythical Soosh.
 3d. Celestial Sooshes are extremely rare and much different from normal Sooshes. This means you MAY NOT MAKE A CELESTIAL SOOSH ROLE. (I may change this if you haven't broken rules and i'm feeling nice.)
4. Please don't put 'to be rped' in any places on your form
5. Please don't hog all the attention
6. Fade to black when necessary
7. Drama is highly encouraged!
8. Censor swearing
9. Wait for me to accept you
10. If it does not say a food (ex: Kimchi) and does not say something along the lines of unisoosh, dragonsoosh, or pegasoosh, and it looks galactic or majestic, it is a Celestial. Which is illegal. (ex: if it says 'Libra')
 10a. I've seen tons of Sushi Dogs, don't be afraid to ask me about what type of Sushi Dog you have found!
11. I will be controlling The Great Soosh. This is because chances are i know much more about the Sooshiverse than you. However, i will not control him constantly.
12. You must use a PICTURE REFERENCE, and it MUST BE A SUSHIDOG/CAT.
13. All soosh's powers must be related to their food in some way! If your character is 'Yogurt Parfait' then they shouldn't be breathing fire. Of course, if your character is 'Jalapeno' then that's ok.
 13a. Ask me about what powers are appropriate.
14. A Soosh is supposed to benefit the world! No dark magic or evil powers!
15. I'm ignoring the ways that a soodh can die, because there are only like 3. Go all out!

Ambre noticed the smol doggo, noticing himself and then her.  Except he had no idea he was a "her" or even knew what gender identities were.  The only word he could summon was "Hey," to Pancake.  He had quite a bit of a vocabulary, but just being a newspawn he didn't know it yet at all.
