I don't think this is a duplicate. I tried searching and "OS wars" came up with nothing and I couldn't search for just "OS".

Anyways, basically, if, say, you use Windows 7, then you'd say W7-1, and if the next person also used Windows 7, then it'd be W7-2. But if someone comes along and is using Mac OS X Leopard, then they would reset it to OSXLe-1. (Le to avoid confusion with Lion/Li)
So that's it, basically. Must be the exact OS you are using now. Mobile OSes count. Kindle is an Android.
